Or maybe just in hibernation? Nonetheless, we can close the book on summer 2013! And right on cue, a new season has arrived on our doorstep. Fall is like the shedding of summer skin. Much like the leaves, each one of us, from time to time, must shake off the green we’ve wrapped ourselves in and embrace something new. So break out the hoodies, jeans, and all your other fall-color clothes and breath in that cool autumn air. As Game of Thrones says: “Winter is coming.”
Summer 2013 wasn’t without it’s own happenings. As you know, we embarked on a summer tour across 11 states and 2,800 miles. Each week we’ve been catching you up with all the shows from the comfort of your own computer screen (or, more likely, your smart phone). This week’s episode, “West Virginia is the Best Virginia” takes us all the way to Erin’s hometown of Charleston where we roared into The Empty Glass for what was arguably the best gig of the entire tour. The gig was our second time sharing the stage with the dudes from Time and Distance (the first being in Pittsfield, MA on July 26th). West Virginia seems to be calling our name, and we can’t wait to go back!
We’re also pretty pumped about performing at the Morris Cup XII on October 13th at the Jason Morris Judo Center in Glenville, NY. For the uninformed, our own Nick Kossor is sort of a big deal in the judo world, and has been training at the JMJC for the better part of a decade in pursuit of personal & Olympic perfection. We were asked to be the musical guest for this year’s competition and we jumped at the opportunity. Just a little early morning rock n’ roll for the disciples of judo.
