Cake & Candles, Punch & Pie:

First and foremost: thank you. We cannot convey how much we appreciate the dedicated fans who came out Sunday night to help us celebrate Erin’s birthday but also to give Valentine’s a send-off of sorts before it closes it’s doors at the end of the year. All of us care for Erin a great deal and it really was a privilege to be able to share the evening with all our awesome fans while bringing her birthday & the gig together under one roof. Both Beautiful Disaster and Time & Distance killed it (as always) and we loved having them on the bill (as always). We’ve been aching to get back onstage for a while now, and it felt great to fire up the amps and blow the roof off the place. We promised cake, so get a little taste of the celebration below (click the image below to play):

The stage felt a little empty on Sunday night with Nick not being there. For the uninformed, he’s been in Samoa competing in yet another international judo tournament. The result? First place and he took home the gold medal. DANG. Not to mention rising to 24th in the world rankings at 60kg. Incredibly proud of him, and we obviously can’t wait for him to get back.

As the year winds down we’re heading right into recording mode. Even though you can catch us playing the occasional acoustic tune here and there (like every Wednesday at Putnam Den in Saratoga), Sunday was our final big gig of the year. From here on out we’re zeroing in on some big plans for December and into 2014. We promise not to disappoint. You can always get the latest news via our official website.

As always, don’t forget to follow us on FacebookTwitter Instagram! And Tumblr, too!
