Baby, it’s Cold Outside:

This is Johnny catching you up on what’s been happening in our neck of the woods the last few weeks. So gather ’round the fire and listen up.

We had an absolute blast rockin’ around the X-Mas tree last Friday night down at the Empire State Plaza in Albany, spreading some Holiday cheer for all the good boys & girls. Not going to lie: it was COLD, but once we kicked off the first song things started to heat up a bit onstage and we felt a bit better. Many thanks to NYS OGS and Hannaford for sponsoring an awesome show & inviting us to perform that night, and a very special thank you to all the fans who came and hit the ice (figuratively, not literally!) during our double-set.

Also, we’re a little over a week away from the commencement of the recording of a new round of songs for our upcoming record! Yup, we hit the studio next Friday, December 27th at Four Legs Records (where we also recorded Seize the Year and Love Eats the Young) to begin tracking. These songs are the culmination of almost a year worth of hard work and focused passion on all our parts. On a personal note, I’m incredibly proud of the lyrics on these songs. Over the last 9 months I’ve experienced growth both as a person & a songwriter, along with a great deal of upheaval and introspection. Through that lens I’ve tried to capture those emotions via the words scribbled in my notebook and channel them out through these songs. In a world filled with throw-away lines and instantly-forgettable “hooks” I’ve continued to put my heart and soul into the music we make. So my hope is that everyone finds a little something to connect with on this record when it’s complete.

2014 is going to be a big year for us, and I hope you’ll come along for the journey.

As always, head over to for more tour dates and videos.

– Johnny
